While ammonia may be effected, it isn’t recommended by carpet manufacturers. Ammonia can also be harmful health hazard from the fumes and there is a risk of delamination nof the secondary backing. There are great products on the market that can be used in place of ammonia with tremendous results. We offer a great line to home owners, designed for a number of spills.

You can use anything that doesn’t have bleach in it. Ammonia takes cleans and takes out odors very well and the ammonia smell is gone when the carpet dries.
