Rugs – Vacuuming & Dusting Guidelines

Rugs collect allergens, bacteria, and chemicals in their fibers. In order to maintain a healthier environment, and to reduce indoor air pollution for your family and pets, follow the rug vacuuming and dusting guidelines below. Rugs can also be treated with an all-natural Anti-Allergen Treatment.
Guidelines:
Entry Rugs (High Traffic): Vacuum 2+ times per week / Wet wash every 1-2 years*
Moderate Use Rugs (Medium Traffic): Vacuum weekly / Wet wash every 2-3 years*
Low Use Rugs (Low or no Traffic): Vacuum bi-weekly / Wet wash every 3-4 years*
* if you are diligent with your vacuum routine you can be on the higher end of the timelines
Rugs in rooms with Children and/or Pet Activity – Vacuum (# of kids + pets) times per week / Wet wash every year.

Navajo Rug Reunion coming to Tempe Az

I am so EXCITED!! We are hosting a Navajo Rug Reunion on the 28th of February. Mary Walker, with Weaving in Beauty will be giving FREE informal appraisals of Navajo Weavings. This will be so dynamic to see all the beautiful weavings. I know that alot of our clients have obtained rugs from family, friends, and even swap meets and garage sales and are concerned with their authenticity. I had the opportunity while on the Navajo nation and visit a weaver in her home. The time and detail spent on these rugs are incredible. Come and enjoy the art of Navajo Rug Weaving. The shop is located at 2120 E. 6th Street #16 in Tempe Az. We will be scheduling appointments from 10 am until 4pm.
